In this story, my first single byline for CNN, I wrote about how a wedding in a remote town in Maine resulted in over a hundred Covid-19 cases. Seven people ended up dead of the virus, but none of them had attended the initial event. Stories like these are heavy and hard to tell, but the hope in my work is that spreading the word prevents future tragedies.

This story would end up an oracle for the 2020 hurricane season. I covered, on a live deadline, NOAA's release of its revised hurricane schedule. This announcement came after a busy first half of the season, and predicted an increase in the quantity and severity of storms to come.
